Tim Sartwell
Tim Sartwell is the Deputy Policy Advisor for Recreational Fisheries for NOAA Fisheries. Tim has previously held roles in the NOAA Fisheries Office of Communications and Office of Sustainable Fisheries. Tim’s expertise lies in recreational fisheries data and management and works to implement NOAA’s National Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Policy. Tim has played a key role in planning and executing numerous stakeholder engagement events including the National Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Summits.
Prior to joining NOAA Fisheries, Tim was the lead biologist and project manager for the Access Point Angler Intercept Survey, which collects marine recreational fisheries data on the Atlantic Coast and Puerto Rico. Tim is a lifelong recreational fisherman and his favorite target species is red drum in the coastal marshes of North Carolina.
