Tyler Staples

Industry Funded Scallop Assistant

Tyler joined the NEFSC in April of 2005 as a fisheries observer collecting data onboard commercial fishing vessels.  In 2008, after 357 days at sea as an observer, Tyler moved into an office role as the Industry Funded Scallop Assistant. Prior to joining the NEFSC Tyler worked several summers in Alaska on salmon enhancement projects.

Tyler received a B.S in Environment Biology with an emphasis in Fisheries from Unity College in Maine.  When time allows, Tyler can be found enjoying the outdoors with his family, fishing, hunting, clamming, making maple syrup and golfing.
