Educator Webinar: Linking the Past, Present, and Future: Integrating Social Studies into Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences
Hear from Pickering Creek Audubon Center how they use social studies in their middle school and high school programs.
About
This webinar will introduce the audience to two multidisciplinary Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience programs led by Pickering Creek Audubon Center: A middle school science and social studies program that links climate throughout time in ways that are relevant to students’ lives and a high school program where students explore local government, decision-making, and community environmental action. Hear how Pickering Creek educators are collaborating with local teachers, historic sites, and public institutions to expand the students’ experiences of a MWEE in the field and classroom and throughout their action project process.
