About
NOAA’s Environmental Science Training Center and Howard County Conservancy have teamed up to host the mid-Atlantic cohort for the Summer Institute for Climate Change Education in partnership with Climate Generation, NOAA’s Climate Program, and the Wild Center’s Youth Climate Program. This three-day experience, designed just for teachers, builds off of the themes explored during the Mid-Atlantic Climate Change Education Conference and provides the opportunity for networking both nationally and locally. Days one and three are structured to allow time for learning and national networking, while day two will focus on place-based climate change education with a specific focus on health and community resilience. Throughout the Institute, teachers will gain the skills, tools, and resources to teach climate change concepts and empower students in all subject areas.
