The NOAA Fisheries Office is preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for funding actions conducted by the S-K Program. The S-K Program funds projects that address the needs of fishing communities, optimize economic benefits by building and maintaining sustainable fisheries, and increase other opportunities to keep working waterfronts viable. NOAA invites interested parties to provide comments on the Draft PEIS analysis for potentially funded S-K projects, including potential project effects to the human environment, and means for avoiding, minimizing, or mitigating those effects.
