NOAA’s Habitat Conservation Division and Restoration Center personnel participated in a site inspection of the West Louisiana Highway One Marsh Creation project located in southeast Louisiana.

This project is one of eleven projects being evaluated through the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act program.

Water salinity and depths, submerged aquatic vegetation cover, and species of vegetation were recorded for a benefits analysis.

Also, design, construction layout and access were evaluated for design and cost analysis. will be submitted for engineering and design funds at the end of the year.
