A Supervisory Enforcement Officer and an Enforcement Officer participated in a multi-agency joint inspection operation at a Baltimore Washington International Airport cargo facility. No fisheries-related violations were found.
Southeast

A Supervisory Enforcement Officer and two Enforcement Officers completed a Florida Keys Sanctuary operation in Key West, FL. Five sanctuary patrols were completed during the operation. 26 total vessel stops of commercial and recreational vessels were conducted and 17 total violations were detected during the operation.

A Florida-based Special Agent received a complaint regarding a social media post where an oceanic whitetip shark was held up for a trophy picture. The SA interviewed the angler and the owner of the fishing vessel. A written warning will be issued to the angler and vessel owner.
