Greg Ardini

Economist

Greg received a Master's in Marine Policy from the University of Delaware in 2013. Following graduation, he worked at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute as an economics research assistant. He joined NEFSC as a contractor in November 2014 and as a Federal employee in January 2018.

Greg has served on the New England Fishery Management Council Groundfish Plan Development Team since 2018, and has helped produce the Social Sciences Branch (SSB) Groundfish Performance Reports. He is a member of the SSB Cost Survey Working Group, which is in charge of collecting commercial fishing cost information from vessel owners. As a member of the Working Group, Greg led the development of a Technical Memorandum summarizing SSB’s cost survey efforts from 2011, 2012, and 2015. His ongoing research involves analysis of the impacts of offshore wind on the Atlantic sea scallop fishery. A complete list of Greg’s previous research papers can be found on his ResearchGate page.
