Seafood quality and supply are critical to the success of fishing and seafood industries in the Pacific Islands Region and to the needs of consumers who expect high quality seafood from fisheries that are managed for sustainability.

NOAA Fisheries addresses a wide range of seafood issues in partnership with the Southwest Region of the Seafood Inspection Program. The program provides inspection services on a fee-for-service basis to ensure compliance with all applicable seafood regulations.
