North American Conservation Action Plan - Humpback Whale Megaptera Novaeangliae (2005)

January 01, 2005

Publication prepared by the Secretariat of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation

The North American Conservation Action Plan (NACAP) developed for the humpback whale resulted from a tri-national workshop hosted by the Secretariat of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) in San Francisco, California in March 2004. The plan benefited from the in-depth review of an extensive list of wildlife experts from diverse backgrounds from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Furthermore, the content of this NACAP has been shared with diverse government agencies within each country that are related to the well-being of the species.
