The Proceedings of the International Workshop on CITES Implementation for Seahorse Conservation and Trade summarizes the outcome of a meeting held in Mazatlan, Mexico funded by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAAís Coral Reef Conservation Program and the Office of Protected Resources) and the U.S. State Department. The workshop was developed primarily to assist countries in identifying possible national management and monitoring strategies that could be implemented in their countries to promote sustainable harvest of seahorses and properly implement the CITES Appendix-II listing for these species.
