A Journey to Study Marine Mammals in the Gulf of America

Between 2017 and 2021, NOAA’s Southeast Fisheries Science Center, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Geological Survey Wetland and Aquatic Research Center embarked on a partnership with the Bureau of Ocean and Energy Management.  

Here we take a closer look at the marine mammal component of the Gulf of Mexico Marine Assessment Program for Protected Species (GoMMAPPS) led by scientists of the Southeast Fisheries Science Center.
