Alaska Seafood Snapshot

Beset by declines in Alaska’s commercial fisheries revenues in 2023 and increases in harvesting
and processing costs in 2022 and 2023, the Alaska fishing industry asked NOAA Fisheries to
undertake an independent quick-turnaround “Snapshot” report summarizing the status of the
economic and social conditions within the Alaska seafood industry.
