A 2017 status review report conducted on a petition from the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) and 13 co-petitioners requesting that Pacific Bluefin tuna, Thunnus orientalis (PBF), be listed as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) throughout all or a significant portion of its range.
