Your product is managed under the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species International Trade Program and Seafood Import Monitoring Program.
An International Fisheries Trade Permit is required to import this product. The importer of record only needs a single IFTP for all NOAA Fisheries trade programs.
You must file entry data with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to bring this product into the United States. Instructions are available in this implementation guide.

National and Fishery-Wide Restrictions
In addition to program-specific requirements, NOAA Fisheries may limit or prohibit the trade of this product based on the nation or fishery of origin.
Marine Mammal Protection Act Import Provisions
As of January 1, 2026, nations with fisheries denied comparability findings under the Marine Mammal Protection Act Import Provisions regulation are prohibited from importing fish and fish products from those fisheries into the United States.

IUU Fishing, Bycatch, and Shark Activities Certifications
NOAA may prohibit imports from nations that have been Negatively Certified for failing to address illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing or the bycatch of protected marine life.
This tool is not a substitute for the Code of Federal Regulations. If there is a discrepancy between information in this tool and the regulations, the regulations take precedence. Failure to comply with the requirements and deadlines of the import monitoring programs is a violation of federal law for which significant penalties, including forfeiture of imported product, may be assessed. All such violations are referred to NOAA's Office of Law Enforcement for appropriate action. If you believe you may have violated federal law, NOAA Fisheries strongly recommends that you immediately self-report the violation.
