The Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act Program has approved funding for the NOAA-sponsored North Delacroix Marsh Creation and Terracing Project. The project will restore coastal habitat in St. Bernard Parish.
Through the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act Program, NOAA and its partners restored Bayou De Cade to help combat land loss and support fisheries.
Funding has been approved for the NOAA-sponsored South Delacroix Marsh Creation Project through the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act Program. The project will restore more than 400 acres of marsh in Plaquemines Parish.

An additional $1.2 million in funding will support an effort underway to rebuild more than 300 acres of marsh habitat and help protect local communities from storms and flooding.
