Summary

NOAA Fisheries received an incidental take permit application from eight irrigation districts and the City of Prineville, Oregon. The application included the proposed Deschutes Basin Habitat Conservation Plan (DBHCP) that describes how the districts and the city will minimize and mitigate impacts to steelhead, spring-run Chinook salmon, sockeye salmon, bull trout and Oregon spotted frog. The proposed DBHCP also describes the estimated potential impact on covered species’ populations, adaptive management, monitoring, and mitigation measures.

Comments period for both the draft Habitat Conservation Plan and draft Environmental Impact Statement have been extended, and will now close on December 3, 2019.
