Golden Tilefish Interim Measures
Summary
The proposed temporary measures reduced the golden tilefish annual catch limits (ACL) (total, commercial, and recreational) for 2018. Currently the total ACL for golden tilefish is 558,036 pounds gutted weight (lbs gw). Under the interim rule, the proposed total ACL would equal 323,000 lbs gw. These proposed interim measures would be effective for 180 days after the date of publication and may be extended for an additional 186 days. Long-term measures were developed following these interim measures in Regulatory Amendment 28.
