Lionfish Traps Exempted Fishing Permit Applications
Summary
Several individual applications for exempted fishing permits (EFPs) were received by NOAA Fisheries for trap testing to harvest lionfish. If granted, the EFPs would allow the applicants, with certain conditions, to target lionfish by trap within waters of the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic.
