IB 05-35: NMFS Announces an Economic Data Reporting Requirement

April 13, 2005 - 4:00 p.m.

Notice of a fishery management action.

An Economic Data Report (EDR) is required from any owner or leaseholder of a vessel or processing plant that harvested or processed crab in specified Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) crab fisheries during the years 1998, 2001, or 2004.

A separate EDR must be completed for all three years. For example, even though you owned or leased a vessel or plant that participated in BSAI crab fisheries in two out of these three years you will still need to fill out three separate EDRs for all three years; your response to questions in the beginning of the EDR form, however, will clarify that you did not operate in one of these three years.

For instructions, frequently asked questions, regulations, list of vessels and forms go to the Crab Rationalization page.
