Alison Ogilvie is a member of the NEFSC/PSD Whale Ecology Branch. She is primarily an aerial observer; often searching for North Atlantic right whales from a NOAA Twin Otter, but can also be found doing boat based research. When not in the field, she focuses on right whale photo identification, data submission, planning surveys and coordinating with other survey teams in the Northeast region. Alison earned a degree in Biology from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Prior to working at the NEFSC, she was a marine naturalist, humpback whale research assistant and a member of the Center for Coastal Studies right whale aerial survey team.
