Craig Russell
Mr. Craig Russell, currently serving as the Acting Deputy Director of the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC), previously directed the NWFSC Fishery Resource Analysis and Monitoring Division. Throughout his career he has led multidisciplinary teams, enhancing scientific understanding of the marine environment to support resource management. Before joining NWFSC, he spearheaded telepresence-enabled exploration for NOAA Ocean Exploration and contributed to national and regional strategic initiatives focused on ocean governance, ecosystem-based management, and environmental restoration. Mr. Russell holds a Master of Marine Affairs from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College.
