Dan Gates

Dan graduated from Brown University in 2020 with a Geology-Biology Sc.B. He spent much of 2021 in Santa Barbara, CA, where he worked as a counselor for the Ocean Explorers Kids Camp. He then returned home to New Jersey, where he began working as an Industry Funded Scallop observer in 2022. Later in 2022, he moved to Rhode Island and was trained in the NEFOP, High Volume Fisheries, and At-Sea Monitor programs. Dan enjoys surfing, hiking, traveling, and unicycling.
