Emma Fowler

Emma grew up in Connecticut and attended college at Jacksonville University in Florida where she obtained her B.S. in Marine Science. She was a Northeast Fisheries Observer for five years on groundfish and scallop vessels. Afterward, Emma became a Protected Species Observer, monitoring and collecting data on marine mammals and sea turtles for surveys and offshore marine construction projects. In her observing career, she has a combined total of over 900 days at sea. Emma joined the Cooperative Research Branch in April 2021 as a Biologist and is based out of Narragansett, RI.
