Senior Research Associate II (Affiliate)

Heather Moncrief-Cox is a NOAA Affiliate of the Southeast Fisheries Science Center through the Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) located at the University of Miami.

She has over 10 years of fisheries experience, including seven years with the observer programs (both as an observer and as an assistant coordinator), and her current role as the lead of the Reproductive Biology Group within the Biology and Life History Branch. Her primary research focus is the reproductive ecology of reef fish and large coastal sharks in U.S. waters. The data collected and analyzed by her group supports regional stock assessments.
