LTJG Brianna Villalon
Brianna joined the NOAA Corps in 2020. Her first assignment was the R/V Oscar Dyson in Kodiak, AK. Brianna graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. Prior to joining the NOAA Corps, she worked on several research projects, ranging from benthic shark species stock assessments for NOAA, marine genomic analysis of elasmobranchs, socio-ecological studies concerning small scale fishery dynamics, to coastal restoration and coral ecology. She is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas and enjoys surfing, sports, and of course, the critters of the ocean.
