LTJG Forrest Foxen
LTJG Forrest Foxen joins the NEFSC from the NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson, a hydrographic ship homeported in Norfolk, VA. Serving as the Damage Control Officer, Foxen sailed in the Great Lakes, Atlantic, and Gulf of Mexico waters. He spent time on the bridge as OOD and served as primarily coxswain of the ship’s 28 foot hydrographic survey launches.
Prior to joining the NOAA Corps in July of 2021, LTJG Foxen served 6 years in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained electrician’s mate, with 4 of those years aboard the fast attack submarine, USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN-705).
Forrest grew up in Lakeland, FL with a constant pursuit of the beach and being on the water. He now resides in Mashpee with his wife and kids.
