Mandy Lindeberg
Mandy is currently a senior scientist leading the multi-agency, long-term monitoring program, Gulf Watch Alaska, and serves as NOAA liaison to the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council. Her expertise lies with coastal ecology and specializes in the taxonomy and ecology of seaweeds. Mandy’s research includes studies of nearshore flora, fauna, and persistence of Exxon Valdez oil. She has been the lead biologist for the Alaska ShoreZone coastal imaging and habitat mapping program and various essential fish habitat projects. Highlights of her contributions include the popular publications “Field guide to Seaweeds of Alaska” and “A Handy Field Guide to the Nearshore Marine Fishes of Alaska”.
