Reproduction & Condition Program Leader

Mark joined the NEFSC in 2008 and is the program leader for the fish Reproduction and Condition Program. He collaborates on original research and technical products for stock assessments and integrated ecosystem assessments in the North Atlantic Ocean ecosystem. His focus is on maturity (derived from both macroscopic and gonadal histology) and reproductive potential of fishes (including fecundity, spawning frequency, and maternal effects) and bioenergetics (including condition, energy content, and growth) of fishes.
