Management & Program Analyst/ Lead Human Resource Liaison

After 12 years in education, Melissa joined federal service in 2004 with Department Homeland Security; Portland, Maine and relocated to NOAA Fisheries Alaska Region (AKRO) in 2006. Melissa served AKRO from 2006 - 2023 in a variety of operations management roles with primary mission support for Human Resources. Melissa joined Northeast Fisheries Science Center in September of 2023 to serve the role of HR Liaison. 

Melissa has also served on multiple councils and working groups for Fisheries. 

Melissa lives and works on the land of the Tlingit Aani in Juneau, Alaska and is dedicated to being of service to her community. Hobbies include berry picking, foraging, canning, baking, hiking with her puppy and husband, practicing Random Acts of Kindness, and cooking meals for elders and persons facing food insecurity.
