Meredith joined the Large Whale Team in 2020. Her research on baleen whales utilizes bioacoustics, satellite imagery, and field surveys to study their behavioral ecology and geospatial biodiversity. She is involved in several projects analyzing baleen whale songs as well as the Geospatial Artificial Intelligence for Animals (GAIA) initiative. Meredith has a BSc in Biology, BA in Environmental Arts & Humanities, as well as a Forestry minor from Sewanee: The University of the South. After conducting marine mammal field work in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Northwest, she went on to earn her MSc in Marine Mammal Science from the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
