Michele Traver
Michele Traver is the Deputy Director of the Resource Evaluation and Assessment Division (READ), which consists of three branches: Ecosystem Dynamics and Assessment Branch (EDAB), Population Dynamics Branch (PDB), and Social Sciences Branch (SSB). She will focus on supporting the division and continue to improve communication and collaboration with our partners. Michele earned her B.A. in Marine Conservation Biology from Bradford College and a Professional Science Master’s in Quantitative Fisheries and Resource Economics from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She began her career with the NEFSC in 2000, serving as a biological science technician in the Population Dynamics Branch where she provided support for and led stock assessments. Michele then served as the Stock Assessment Process Lead, where she focused on the NRCC stock assessment process and collaborating with our partners.
