Rochelle graduated from the University of Maine with a BS in marine science in May of 2019. While attending Umaine, Rochelle assisted on a study examining large whale vocalizations and movement in the Gulf of Maine using passive acoustic monitoring. She primarily focused on the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. After graduating, Rochelle worked as an At Sea Monitor before joining the passive acoustic research group in May of 2021. She currently assists with the vessel analysis for the Australian Marine Parks project.
