Sophie received her B.S. in marine science and biology from the University of Miami. She joined the Passive Acoustics Branch in 2023 where she focuses on the occurrence and distribution of sperm whales in the Atlantic Ocean. Previously, she worked on passive acoustic monitoring projects in St. John USVI coral reef soundscapes as a guest student at WHOI.
