Wayne Palsson
Wayne Palsson is a Research Fish Biologist who supervises the staff of the Gulf of Alaska and Aleutian Islands Bottom Trawl Survey Team at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center. He received his BA in Zoology from the University of California at Berkeley and a M.S. in Fisheries Science from the University of Washington. His team executes expansive surveys to assess groundfish abundance and conducts independent research on surveys and groundfish species. His research interests focus on the science behind the surveys and how the information from the surveys can inform us about how environmental conditions affect the life histories of groundfish.
