A workshop to solicit facts and information from experts to inform recovery planning for the oceanic whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus).
About
An Oceanic whitetip shark recovery planning workshop is being held at Florida International University on November 13–14, 2019. We are bringing together experts and stakeholders to discuss ways to conserve and recover this globally-listed threatened species. This workshop, focused on the species in the Atlantic and Caribbean, builds on results from the April 23–24, 2019 workshop that was held in Honolulu, Hawai'i and focused on the species in the Indo-Pacific. Outputs from this workshop will be used to draft a recovery plan for the species.
