Two public scoping meetings will be held for the Pacific Ocean AquaFarms Environmental Impact Statement:
- October 14, 2020 at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time
- October 16, 2020 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time
*Each meeting will present the same information regarding the Pacific Ocean AquaFarms EIS.
Two Ways to Join
These meetings will be held digitally via the Webex video platform. For those unable to join via the Internet, the meetings will also be available for audio participation via a toll-free conference number.
How to Participate
After presentations are made, public participants will be able to provide comments or ask questions regarding the environmental review and permitting processes and the project description as presented. Members of the public will be allotted up to three minutes to speak. Note that comments made on the scope of the EIS will be considered in the development of the draft EIS and will not be addressed at the meetings.
The project team will respond to questions related to the process and project description to help the public make informed comments on the scope of the EIS. The team will try to address all submitted questions; however, due to the preliminary stages of the process and time constraints, some questions may not be addressed during the meetings.
Public attendees may ask questions about the environmental review, permitting processes, or project description in the following ways:
- Submit questions prior to the meetings. This link should be used to submit questions only; comments should be submitted via the Federal e-Rulemaking Portal as detailed below.
- Ask questions orally during the scoping meetings using Webex video or toll-free phone line.
- Ask questions using the Webex chat function during the scoping meetings.
After the Meetings
Following the meetings, the presentation materials and a recording of the presentations will be posted on this page.
