Summer Fishing Event for Kids
NOAA Fisheries recognizes the fundamental role that non-commercial and recreational fishing plays in the livelihoods of Pacific Islanders. The Summer Fishing Event for Kids is open to boys and girls, ages 5 to 15. This is free and open to the public.

NOAA Fisheries is providing Recfish Engagement and Educational Linking Services to support Scouting Hawaii, Boy Scouts of America - Aloha Council, and New Hope Oʻahu in hosting their 2019 Summer Fishing Adventures for Kids. Other supporting education and activity partners include the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources, Trout Unlimited, and 4-H Oahu. Be sure to see our outreach booths on Fishing is Fun, Fish Life History, Hawaiian monk seals, and sea turtles. Other exciting NOAA displays and learning activities will be presented by team members from the Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, Marine Debris, and the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument programs.
