Shellfish and Seaweed Aquaculture Ecosystem Services Information Call Invitation and Webinar

We are seeking people knowledgeable in shellfish and/or seaweed aquaculture to help identify research needs and priorities that pertain to shellfish and seaweed aquaculture ecosystem services.

A collaborative research team across several NOAA programs is conducting a Horizon Scan to characterize ecosystem services provided by U.S. shellfish and seaweed aquaculture. The project aims to:

  • Provide an updated state of the science.
  • Broadly identify research and application gaps.
  • Help direct future research towards the highest value targets.

The intent is to help orient researchers engaging in this space towards the highest priority research and to support granting agencies in understanding potentially valuable research targets. This project is not linked to any future funding source.

Aquaculture Ecosystem Services: Horizon Scan

We are seeking individuals knowledgeable in shellfish and/or seaweed aquaculture and ecosystem services to contribute to an online information call in which we are asking for help to identify research needs and priorities that pertain to shellfish and seaweed aquaculture ecosystem services. The time required to contribute to the information call is expected to be minimal.

The collection of data under this information call is authorized under the OMB Control Number included in the Citizen Science & Crowdsourcing Information Collection page.

There will be a follow-up webinar to get feedback on the initial summary.
