Petitioners Karuk Tribe and Salmon River Restoration Council request that the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) reconsider its decision to deny a previous petition from Environmental Protection Information Center et al. to list as threatened or endangered the Upper Klamath-Trinity River (UKTR) Chinook Evolutionarily Significant Unit (ESU) ( Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) or, alternatively, create a new ESU to describe Klamath Spring Chinook (Center for Biological Diversity et al. 2011).
