Salmon are anadromous, meaning they live in the ocean to grow, and come back to their home river to spawn. Throughout their incredible life cycle they travel hundreds, and even thousands, of miles. Along the way, they face many pressures including dams, predators, droughts, poor habitat, water pollution, and more. In this 5-minute animation, you’ll learn about the Pacific salmon life cycle and the challenges they face every day.
