This scavenger hunt activity will help students, educators, and families explore the wonders of the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument—the deepest of the world's deep-sea trenches. Learn what a Marine National Monument is, understand the scientific and cultural significance of the Monument, and recognize the remarkable habitat and marine life within the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument.
Each of the two posters on which the scavenger hunt is based spotlights some of the diverse ecosystems, unique geologic features, and abundant marine species that live within the Monument. The illustrations and infographics present distinct perspectives that highlight what makes this place so special.
