Harbor Seals Pupping Timeframes Along the West Coast

Pupping timeframes given are based on research by the Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife and the National Marine Mammal Laboratory and on observations and stranding responses by Oregon State University over the past two decades. In individual cases pups may be born outside these timeframes in unique situations.
Please keep your distance and keep all pets leashed and away from seals and sea lions. If you see a seal pup alone that appears to be injured, stranded or dead, protect the animal by keeping your distance and calling the Marine Mammal Stranding Network at 866-767-6114.
