This is a flyer that describes the summer pollock survey in the Gulf of Alaska for 2023.
The objective of this survey is to estimate the abundance and distribution of age-1+ walleye pollock over the shelf and in regions of the Gulf of Alaska using acoustics and targeted trawling on acoustic backscatter, to inform fish stock assessment models and catch allocation.
