Salmon Summit

Scientists from the NWFSC's Pasco Research Station worked with 4th and 5th graders in the classroom as students raised salmon from egg to parr, and at the annual Salmon Summit in April, where over 3,000 students released the fish into the Columbia River. Jesse Lamb, Matt Nesbit, and Benjamin Sandford share why they get involved year after year.

Meet Alison Brodet, Woods Hole Science Aquarium Biologist

We continue our series to introduce the people who work at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Each month we feature a new "face" from the Center's five laboratories and share with you a bit about who they are, what they do at the Center, and what they enjoy doing in their spare time. Alison Brodet is an aquarium biologist at our Woods Hole Science Aquarium in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

College Students Head to Woods Hole for Summer of Science

PEP is a project of the Woods Hole Diversity Initiative, founded in 2004 by the six scientific institutions in Woods Hole to attract and retain a more diverse workforce, one that reflects the changing demographics of the nation and the world. This year PEP is also celebrating its 10th anniversary with a workshop and weekend of activities June 27-29.
