NOAA Fisheries is approving a recommendation from both the Mid-Atlantic and New England Fishery Management Councils to require federally permitted commercial fishing vessels to submit vessel trip reports electronically in 48 hours of the end of a trip.
The Closed Area I Scallop Access Area is closed to all federally permitted Limited Access General Category (LAGC) Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) scallop vessels effective 0001 hr, on September 13, 2020.
