Rod has been with NOAA Fisheries for close to 28 years. He is a Mathematical Statistician with the Alaska Fisheries Science Center’s Marine Mammal Laboratory. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho in Mathematics and his Masters’ degree in Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management from the University of Washington.
Maggie is the Communications Program Manager for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center. She has been with NOAA Fisheries for 12 years. Prior to joining NOAA Maggie was the Conservation Department Manager for the New England Aquarium. She has also worked as a radio news director, DJ and journalist. She has a Masters in Marine Policy from Tufts University and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Massachusetts.
Katie has been a Biologist at NOAA Fisheries Alaska Fisheries Science Center studying Steller sea lion population abundance and life history for over 10 years. She is an FAA certified remote pilot. She has been flying remote-operated hexacopters for marine mammal surveys since 2014.
