During 2004-May 2009, the SWG quota was comprised of gag, red grouper, yellowmouth grouper, yellowfin grouper, red hind, rock hind, black grouper, and scamp. Beginning in May 2009, gag and red grouper were removed from SWG and an Other SWG quota was established. In 2012, red hind and rock hind were removed from SWG. The commercial sector for shallow water grouper is managed under the Gulf of Mexico Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) Program. Landings on the IFQ site are updated in real time and therefore may be more comprehensive than the table above. |
