Marine Turtle Flipper Tags
Tagging sea turtles around the world to learn more about their migratory patterns, growth rates, survival, and reproductive output.
The Marine Turtle Ecology & Assessment Program maintains and administers a flipper tag supply and database for the East Pacific region. Flipper tags and applicators are available upon request for projects and collaborators in need. To request tags please contact garrett.lemons@noaa.gov. Requests should include information on the project, location, number needed and shipping address. We also kindly ask for a short report sent to us when the tags are deployed. Further tag requests will not be accommodated until a report is received.
Atlantic Tags
Please contact the Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research for information regarding their Atlantic tagging program.
