Black Abalone Listing Under the ESA

Following completion of an Endangered Species Act (ESA) status review for black abalone (Haliotis cracherodii), we, NOAA Fisheries, published a proposed rule to list black abalone as endangered on January 11, 2008. After considering public comments on the proposed rule, we issue this final rule to list black abalone as endangered under the ESA.
